Mandy Moore Wedding Details

Friday, March 13th, 2009

mandy-moore-and-ryan-adams  Pastor Steve Schulte, who married Mandy Moore and rocker Ryan Adams this week at Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda Home for Boys on the outskirts of Savannah, Ga., told PEOPLE exclusively about the days events. All Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams needed for the perfect wedding were a tiny old brick church, a pastor they just met, a pair of silver bands and each other.  “She was thrilled to be getting married. She was giddy but not in a childish way. She was obviously so happy,”

The couple, who just got engaged last month, arranged for a last-minute ceremony, with one of their reps calling Schulte just the day before, saying a judge wasn’t available and asking if the pastor could officiate. “I thought it was either somebody famous or somebody really bad,” says Schulte, who agreed to the job, bringing along only a friend, wedding planner Chad Baker – and that was because they had another wedding event later in the day.

A little after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, a black town car pulled up to the church on the breathtakingly beautiful grounds with blooming azaleas, dogwood trees, giant old live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Out stepped Moore and Adams and two other men.  The couple dressed down: Moore, 24, wore a cream-colored, lacy tea-length dress and flat sandals, and Adams, 34, had on tight skinny jeans, a T-shirt with sport coat and sneakers. Schulte greeted them, and even when he heard their names, he didn’t know who they were.

Moore’s eyes and her voice quivered as she took Adams to be her husband.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” Schulte said, and the couple kissed. After the pastor congratulated them, he shook Adams’s hand and hugged Moore. As the couple walked out of the church, Adams turned and took Moore’s face in both of his hands and gave her another kiss. They then walked to a little footbridge near the chapel where they hugged and kissed.  “It was so romantic. It was awesome,” says Baker. “I just can’t stress how happy they seemed.”

Celebrity Weddings – Star Studded Events

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Being a celebrity has its advantages – the money, the power and the fame. But another great advantage to being famous is the ability to have a fabulous wedding. Celebrity weddings are unlike any other weddings. A celebrity wedding has a star studded guest list, four-star flowers, VIP invitations, outrageous receptions, designer bridal gowns and bridal cakes baked by world famous chefs. People are amazed at celebrity weddings and often visit celebrity wedding websites in order to find out more about the extravagant event or gain inspiration.

There were many famous celebrity weddings this past year. And each celebrity wedding was different. Scarlet Johansson married Ryan Reynolds in the evening at a Wilderness Resort in British Columbia, where their guests enjoyed horse back riding and fishing. That celebrity wedding allowed the couple and their guests to experience nature and marriage. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon also had a star studded celebrity wedding on Windemere Island in the Bahamas recently. Mariah’s engagement ring was worth $2.5 million, imagine what the reception was like! Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z also had a private celebrity wedding in New York City after six years of “secretly” dating. That’s just one of the celebrity weddings that no one really knew about ahead of time.

Most of the time celebrity weddings are private and no one even knows that the celebrities were even engaged. One celebrity wedding that was known about was Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s wedding. That was one of the few celebrity weddings that was joining two women together. They had an intimate gathering in Los Angeles and were a great inspiration to gay people across the nation. There are also some crazy celebrity weddings, like Olivia Newton John and John Easterling’s celebrity wedding. They were married in a private Incan spiritual ceremony in Cuzco, Peru. It was conducted in the ancient language of Quenchua and the groom wore a poncho, while the bride wore a “matrimonial manta’. A little different from the outfits Olivia wore in Grease. But some celebrity weddings aren’t as private. Radio personality Howard Stern married longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky at Le Cirque restaurant in New York while guests like Billy Joel, John Stamos, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel, Chevy Chase, Joan Rivers, Robin Quivers and Donald Trump attended. That’s just one of the perks of a celebrity wedding, the guests. When you are famous not only do you have an endless supply of money to spend on everything from the flowers to the wedding cake, you get to invite other A-list stars. Celebrity weddings are truly unlike ordinary weddings. Everything is better, from the food to the reception hall or venue. But that is just one of the perks. Unfortunately, unlike ordinary people, celebrities don’t tend to stay married for too long. But perhaps the excitement of that one extraordinary day is a good enough memory for them.

If you want to learn more about celebrity weddings then just visit a celebrity wedding website. They offer you on all the juicy wedding information and latest celebrity news.
