Mobb Deeps Prodigy

After serving three years in prison on gun charges, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy is officially a free man as he wrapped up his bid today.

Prodigy didn’t waste any time jumping on the twitter craze as a picture of the rapper hit the social networking site as he was released. Although Prodigy no longer signed to G-Unit, 50 Cent was one of the first people to retweet the photo welcoming his former artist home.

The New York rappers prison sentence stemmed from a 2006 arrest, where he was pulled over after making an illegal U-turn, during the traffic stop authorities found a handgun in his vehicle.

Prodigy will waste no time getting his name back in the spotlight as he has a new book, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, releasing on April 19th.

Lloyd Banks

Two men in Buffalo, New York, were sent to the hospital with stab wounds after a brawl broke out during after a concert featuring G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks.

According to police, Lloyd Banks was performing at The Town Ballroom on Saturday (March 5th) when two men were stabbed in two separate incidents, inside the venue.

Clayton Webster, 23 and Anthony Marshall, 21, were both stabbed repeatedly inside of the venue, police confirmed.

While Marshall is in stable condition, Webster is still in critical condition at the Erie County Medical Center.

Investigators are attempting to determine if the two incidents are connected, or if one of the stabbings was a retaliatory act for the other.

Spies at The National Enquirer have gotten their Hot Little Hands on incriminating snaps of Bobbi Kris “allegedly” (Hint, Nudge, Wink) powdering her nose with “The Good Shit.”

In a nutshell, the 18-year-old — who has previously been photographed downing cans of Four Loko — says the incriminating photos are “not what it looks like” and were sold to The Enquirer by an ex-boyfriend out for revenge.

In a series of posts to her Twitter page Thursday, the self-proclaimed “RealBKBrown” sprouted out a rambling explanation for the heavily-Googled images: “The pictures_ a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes..But it’s really not what it looks like.. People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this. Thing’s people do these days to hurt others is a shame. All I can do now, is keep my head up high, keep looking towards the lord.All the lord is telling me is be still. That’s all, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. #BeStill,” the teen wrote.

Exclusive: Taylor Gang’s leader says that Wayne missed an opportunity to recognize his hard work during the pre-Super Bowl press run, but it was not a reaction to his past with Tyga.

On Wednesday morning, HipHopDX joined Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania emcee Wiz Khalifa as he embarked on a promotional tour for his major label debut, Rolling Papers, planned for March 29th on Rostrum/Atlantic Records. Speaking at Philadelphia’s Wire 96.5FM radio station, DX asked Wiz if Lil Wayne’s recent ESPN interview about remaking Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” was a subliminal response to the rapper’s perceived lyrical jabs in the past at Young Money’s member, Tyga.

“Nah, not at all. I don’t think it had anything to do with that,” said Wiz confidently. However, the DXnext alum did note that Wayne missed an opportunity in the interview that aired days before the Super Bowl to acknowledge a peer “I’ve seen the interview, I think it’s just the case of what a lot of older dudes do now…this is just me being real by saying this, they try to act like they don’t know who I am, or try to act like I don’t know what I’m doing,” Wiz stated. “Because when [ESPN] did the interview with [Lil] Wayne, he was [saying] that he heard the song from the [Pittsburgh] Steelers – he heard it ’cause it was my song, but he didn’t say that. He had an opportunity to step up and say that, and he didn’t.”

Although the Taylor Gang leader acknowledged an opportunity missed – that’s he’s subsequently found from Rap stars like Snoop Dogg and Diddy, he immediately stated that there are no issues there. “I don’t feel any type of way about it, but I recognize it for what it is. It is what it is, but there’s never any problems between me, Wayne or any of his [Young Money] artists, because I’m just so positive. We both have movements and things that we need to tend to, and there would be no point in having tension with each other when we have people who look up to us, that we need to satisfy.”

Snooki Rolling Stone

Pint-size reality star/published author Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine — doing her best “Dr. Strangelove” imitation, no less — which hits newsstands this Friday. But the cover shot already hit the Web on Wednesday (March 2), prompting Polizzi to tweet, “THE NEW ROLLING STONE COVER : Nicole Snooki Polizzi ♥ #loveitorhateit =).”

In the issue, the 23-year-old, who is currently riding the success of the record-breaking third season of “Jersey Shore,” poses with pickles, discusses life in the limelight and announces her plans for total reality-television domination.

While the magazine has dubbed her “America’s #1 Party Girl,” it may not be a title she is entirely comfortable with. Polizzi, who said she watches the show every week, has noticed how her partying ways have caught up with her. “If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate it,” she reveals, “I just hate it. Obviously, they’re only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I’m seeing is me drunk and falling down. That’s how I am when I party, but some of the stuff I do is, like, ‘Really, Nicole?’ I look like a freakin’ alcoholic. I’m like, ‘You’re sweating, your makeup is running, you look gross.’ I just look like sh–.”

Still, those less-than-flattering moments and the effects of being on camera all day, every day (“There’s no normalcy,” she gripes) don’t seem to stop Polizzi from seeking out a life in front of the cameras. “When ‘Jersey Shore’ ends I’m going to do more spin-offs,” she told the magazine. “What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions … I’m trying to build an empire, because after this I can’t get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?”

But before those future endeavors, Polizzi is more than willing to talk about what’s currently going on at “Jersey Shore.” In addition to releasing excerpts from the interview, a video has been posted at RollingStone.com featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the multi-outfit (including a pickle barrel) photo shoot with Polizzi, who discussed everything from heading to Italy to her occasional friend-with-benefits, “Jersey Shore” castmate Vinny Guadagnino. Polizzi, who said she was excited but surprised that Rolling Stone chose her for the cover (“I’m like, ‘Okay, who am I? Like, I don’t sing, I don’t do anything like that”), also theorized on why she’s the most-liked castmember on the series. “I think everyone gravitates towards me more on ‘Jersey Shore’ just because I think I’m more relatable and … I’m real and I don’t care [if I] show my real side.”

Still, Polizzi will likely bond with her fellow castmembers as they head to Italy for the upcoming fourth season. “I’m definitely excited to go to Italy for the new season,” Polizzi says, but acknowledges her limited capabilities of the language. “The only thing I really know in Italian is ‘Ciao, bella.’ ” Polizzi also brought up a certain castmember after riding the RS cover rocket (which she later signed, “Goodbye rocket, you hurt my ass”): Vinny Guadagnino. “Vinny definitely compares to the rocket I sat on,” Polizzi said of her co-star, with whom she’s shared some, er, intimate moments on the show. “I would probably call that rocket Seabiscuit because that’s the same size as Vinny’s ding-dong.”

You can’t prepare enough when dealing with a guy like Charlie Sheen. Following months of epic parties, hospitalizations and unabashed drug use where he was “bangin’ 7-gram rocks and finishing them,” major news organizations including the actor’s home at CBS have begun preparing obituaries for the unraveling-before-our-eyes star, sources tell me.

“No one is wishing the worst but as a news organization for us not to be prepared for one of the biggest stories in a long time would be unprofessional,” a CBS insider tells me.

Preparing obits for celebs in meltdown mode is nothing new, of course, and the Associated Press reportedly got things ready in 2008 in case Britney Spears died.

Charlie called my friend Marianne Garvey and E! News this week and said his “Sober Valley Lodge” is filled with “babes and victories and children. Here, nobody panics and nobody dies.”

But it’s not just his words that are scaring those close to him. Charlie’s thin, pale and generally exhausted appearance has friends and family worried.

“All his friends and family are terrified,” a friend tells me. “No one knows what to do. Everyone tried an intervention and Charlie thinks we are all wrong and trying to hurt him and only he is right. It’s really out of control but no one at this point can save him from himself.”

As for drugs, Sheen told E! “It’s there if I decide to go back to it. What’s not to like? I see things in a different way. Sometimes life is boring and I’ve got to make it exciting.”

Following his recent haircut, Justin Bieber’s pop star locks have been auctioned off for $40,668 (£25,000) on eBay.

The teen heartthrob, who turned 17 on Tuesday, had his trademark mop chopped off for charity and gave a lock of the hair to Ellen DeGeneres, on the condition she’d sell it on.

The money will go to Ellen’s favourite cause, animal rescue foundation The Gentle Barn, and the winning bidder will meet the Biebs on Ellen’s hit show.

‘Thank u for a great bday and an amazing gift of charity to
help others,’ Justin Tweeted after the sale.

‘Another year but still the same kid.

In between cutting his hair and raising thousands for charity, Justin finally confirmed his romance with Disney star Selena Gomez at Vanity Fair’s post-Oscars party.

And Selena, 18, gets the thumbs up not only from Justin himself, but from his family, too.

‘I wouldn’t bring home a girl unless my mom would approve,’ he tells American station SiriusXM.

It’s a celeb’s worst nightmare. To turn up at the flashest bash in town, only to get turned away by a couple of beefy bouncers. It’s happened to the best of them.. Alex Reid, Jack Tweed and not forgetting the time the Loose Women got turned away from Mahiki in place of Jack Tweed (LOLZ). Well now it’s happened to poor old Lindsay Lohan as she attempted to get into a super posh Oscars after party.

A fellow party goer tried to help Lindsay out by asking the doormen ‘Don’t you know who this is?’ To which they replied they knew who she was (we bet bouncers like Mean Girls and know all the words to Jingle Bell Rock) but that they weren’t letting her in (guess they didn’t like it as much as we thought…) leaving La Lohan out in the street, reportedly saying: ‘This is so humiliating.’ We bet it was, but probably not as bad as the Labour Pains opening night… Jus’ sayin.

The party was being thrown by talent agent Gus Oseary who works for the company that represent not only Lindsay herself but also Madonna and Demi Moore.

But hang on, Lilo is best mates with Britney who defo snogged Madonna once – surely that’s a trump card to play? Alas, Linds was sent packing, showing her star in Hollywood is most definitely not as bright as it used to be.

Maybe they were frightened the sticky fingered star might nick all the canapés.

Back in 2009, Birdman took a jab at Jay-Z, saying that “Wayne’s the best [emcee]…he do the most and he make the most money.” Apparently, Hova didn’t take too kindly to Baby’s comments, when he spit on January’s “H.A.M.” song, “Niggas fantasize about the shit that I do daily/ Like these rappers rap about all the shit that I do daily/I’m like really, half a billi, nigga, really you got Baby money/ Keep it real with niggas, niggas ain’t got my lady money.”

Now, two months since the song’s release, Weezy F. Baby responds to Jay’s alleged shot. According to MTV, Wayne isn’t looking to restart his competition with Jay-Z, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to keep quiet. He said that if he were to ever respond to Jay, it would only be in jest.

“Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it,” he said. “But I wouldn’t make it a competition, because actually, the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the god. I’d be the first one to tell you that, given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I’d capitalize and I’d play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would.”

Lil Wayne and Jay-Z famously took shots at each other in 2006 until the two artists connected on Jay-Z’s song “Hello Brooklyn 2.0.” The two have since hit the studio together on a number of tracks, including Wayne’s “Mr. Carter” and “Swagga Like Us” with T.I. and Kanye West.
