Jessica Simpson has lead a charmed life and has found success in whatever field she chose to venture into, be it music videos, movies or television. In addition to seven Billboard Top 40 hits, Jessica Simpson has three gold and two multi-platinum albums to her credit.
Her first singles was ‘, “I Wanna Love You Forever”, which ruled the #3 position on the 2000 list of Billboard Hot 100. This was followed by her super successful album ‘Sweet Kisses’ that went on to achieve a double platinum status.
In 2003 she made her foray in television with the reality show ‘Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica’ that starred Jessica Simpson and her husband Nick Lachey. This TV series became an instant success and she achieved the status of a household celebrity. In subsequent interviews Jessica confessed that she had never imagined that the show would have such an impact. It went on to win the 2005, People’s Choice Award for ‘Favorite Reality Show’.
As far as motion pictures were concerned, Jessica Simpson’s success was rather moderate, unlike her albums and music videos. Jessica Simpson did movies like ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’, ‘Employee of the Month’, ‘Blonde Ambition’ and ‘Major Movie Star’, which was renamed ‘Private Valentine: Blonde and Dangerous’.
Currently Jessica Simpson is planning a television series titled ‘The Price of Beauty’ where she is going to explore the notion of beauty, what is considered beautiful, and what women will do in order to look beautiful. The shooting is slated to start very soon.
